You will produce punching tools, casting and injection moulds as well as devices for industrial series production and mechanical engineering. Your manufacturing processes will be supported by the use of CNC-controlled machine tools, which you will also programme independently.

You will use lathes, milling, grinding and drilling machines to produce individual parts for complex tools, maintaining exact dimensions in accordance with technical drawings.

You will assemble individual parts into finished tools and integrate them into production machines such as punching machines. You will also carry out test runs and check the quality of the finished products.

In addition to production, your tasks will also include the maintenance and servicing of tools and machines.

Manufacture of equipment (e.g. profile bending machines)
Working on (computer-controlled) machine tools
Working in a team within the department and across departments

Prerequisites:

Ordinary secondary school leaving certificate

Duration: 3.5 years
Start: in August
